The time it takes to receive your Georgia Lottery winnings depends on a few factors.

Prizes of $601 and up to $249,999 claimed at the Georgia Lottery Headquarters or claim centers are generally paid on the same day.

Prizes up to $25,000 can also be claimed at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport lottery kiosks and are normally paid the same day.

For prizes of $250,000 and up to $499,999, winners should plan to arrive at GLC headquarters or district offices by 4 p.m. if they want to receive payment the same day. Winners who arrive after 4 p.m. will be paid the following business day.

If the prize is $500,000 or more, it is generally paid within 5 to 10 business days from the date of the claim and electronically deposited into your bank account.

Finally, if you processed your claim by mail, you will normally receive your payment in 4 to 6 weeks.
